Proudly servicing the United States with sustainable seafood for more than 40 years.
All of Shore Seafood's products have been produced in a facility that complies with Good Manufacturing Practices, operates under a program of proper Sanitation Operation Procedures, and is in compliance with the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and Virginia Department of Health (VDH), Shellfish & Sanitation Division guidelines for Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP).
Specifically, our products are processed in accordance with the requirements of the United States Food and Drug Administration Regulation 21 CFR Part 123.
Shore Seafood takes food safety seriously. As is the case with any food production facility, food safety is of utmost importance and requires strict principles and practices in place, especially in the seafood sector. That is how we keep our facilities in accordance with and certified by the Virginia Department of Health, Shellfish and Sanitation Division and are subject to routine inspections by FDA, VDH & DEQ. We have experienced staff members with specific duties to closely monitor our day-to-day operations for HACCP compliance, quality assurance and food safety.
100% traceability from origin to customer. Our product tracking system allows us to be able to quickly identify harvest areas and track temperatures of the seafood we source from the time it comes out of the water to the time it ships from our plant. This process ensures the products we pack and ship are completely safe for end-consumers and sourced only from government-approved waters.
Shore Seafood's partners are all certified shellfish packers that are required to be HACCP certified and are mandated as such by their respective state. We do not purchase any shellfish, wild-caught or farm-raised, from any company that does not carry a certification or comply with safety or sustainability guidelines; we only purchase from licensed and certified shellfish dealers.
