Our practice

 Our company operates in compliance with the food safety standards set forth by the Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) management system and operates under proper sanitation and operation procedures. Specifically, our products are processed in accordance with the requirements of the U.S. Food & Drug Administration Regulation 21 CFR Part 123.  

We take food safety seriously and have strict principles and practices in place to abide by state and federal regulations. Our procedures and protocols allow us to keep our facilities in accordance with and certified by the U.S. Food & Drug Administration and are subject to routine inspections by the Virginia Department of Health - Division of Shellfish Sanitation & Safety.

Shore Seafood has implemented GMP to ensure safety for the company and consumers. All of our products have been produced in a facility that complies with Good Manufacturing Practices. In other words, we operate under a program to properly train our employees, produce safe products, document processes, follow procedures and maintain a clean premises.

All of Shore Seafood's products are completely GMO free and do not contain any genetically modified organisms. We do not manipulate the products we produce in any way nor does our seafood go through any sort of genetic modification. Additionally, our seafood products are all natural, raw products that do not contain any other added ingredients or additives (unless otherwise noted). 

Shore Seafood's partners are all certified shellfish dealers and are required to be HACCP certified and are mandated as such by their respective state. We do not purchase shellfish, wild-caught or farm-raised, from any company that does not possess a certification or comply with safety and sustainability guidelines; we only purchase from licensed and certified shellfish dealers.

100% traceability from origin to customer. Our shellfish tracking system allows us to identify harvest areas and track temperatures of the seafood we source every step of the way through the production process. This ensures our finished products have been properly handled in our supply chain, are sourced from approved waters and are completely safe for end users.
